K.9 Fight team were in super form at the W.K.A English Championships in Birmingham, winning seven titles, two silver and two Bronze medals, this national event draws in over four hundred competitors and goes towards qualifying for next year’s World Championships in Benidorm, Spain.
World Gold Medallist Tia Sayer was in fine form getting a revenge win over World and European Champion Josie Callan from Nottingham and taking the title. Tia also won the silver in the K.1 event. 2013 World Gold Medallist Nicky McHugh won the 12-14’s full contact -40 kilos category and won the Bronze in the Light Contact. Connor Mchugh won the 8-10 years Full Contact category and a Bronze in the Light Contact. Remy Sayer was dynamic in the K.1 -35 kilos final winning by first round K.O, he also won the Full Contact belt.
Imogen Casey won the Schoolgirl Full Contact 12-14’s -40k category, and took silver in the Light Contact. Dublyn Doole won the Light Contact Title in the -40 kilos category and looked sharp. Hadley and Ashton Neller and Keira Sayer all put in strong performances but unfortunately didn’t quite get to the medal stages.
