The towns most successful ever Kickboxer, Former Pro World Champion Bin Tyler returns to action next week (Sunday April 27th) at the Ocean Rooms on the K.9 Gyms 25th Year Anniversary ‘Super Combat Night’, televised by M. A Action.com.
K.9’s Bin Tyler was chief coach Dave Munro’s first champion at the age of 8, 25 years ago, and has won five junior National Titles and was senior Pro British, European and World Champion.
Tyler is going head to head with former Eastern Counties Light Welterweight White Collar title Challenger, Adam Harvey from Norwich.
Tough, game, and heavier opponent Harvey will provide a stern test for Tyler who is on the comeback trail and wants to build back up to British and European Level in the next 18 months. Tyler’s bout tops an exciting bill of White Collar boxing, K.1, Kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts. Chief support bout is K.9’s Danny Mitchell making the first defence of his amateur K.1 Light Middleweight Title against Norwich’s tough exciting former World Junior Champion Jack Wright, undefeated Mitchell is an exciting prospect and coaches Dave Munro and John Hutchins feel that he can go far in the sport.
There will be 18 support bouts of White Collar, K.1 and Muay Thai featuring local fighters taking on opponents from Leicester, Norwich, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Harleston, Bury, Clacton, Newark and Barnsley. A really exciting local derby features local favourites Darryl Sharman (K.9) against Team Gladiators Alan Leggett and both lads hope their big fan base will be out in force to support them. Norwich’s Pat Gilding will be doing a White Collar Bout in Aid of Cancer Research. K.9’s Double World Junior Kickboxing Champion Nicky McHugh will be fighting Barnsley’s Morgan Freeman for the ‘Combat Challenge’ Belt.
Top Local Teams are all involved in the massive anniversary event; K.9 Fight Team, Team Noguiera, Team Fuzeta, Spartans Boxing Club, Lowes Dragons and Team Gladiator will all be in action.
